The theory of auctions as a tool to improve the efficiency of fishing enterprises

The paper provides an overview of major results in the theory of auctions. The author concludes that market-based mechanisms in the Russian fish markets are not working-effectively. In this connection, the task of using the theory of auctions for forming theoretical and methodological bases for its application in fish markets.
